Annual Appeal
Every Story Matters. Every Gift Makes a Difference.
What You Don’t See:
Stories of Brain Injury
You make hope visible.
When you give, you shine a light on what many never see — the strength, resilience, and determination of Nebraskans living with brain injury. Your gift provides connection, access to care, and the chance to rebuild a life with dignity and support.
Scroll below to see how your compassion changes lives — and how your generosity today opens the door to someone’s tomorrow.
As we look ahead, we hope you will consider making a contribution to help us continue this work. According to the Nebraska TBI registry, each year an estimated 13,850 Nebraskans are hospitalized due to a traumatic brain injury. This number does not include strokes, tumors, oxygen deprivation, or other acquired brain injuries — all of which can lead to lifelong impacts that require specialized support, understanding, and care.
This year’s annual campaign highlights the faces and stories of individuals with brain injuries, caregivers, and advocates from communities across Nebraska. At the 2025 Nebraska Brain Injury Conference, we partnered with A Peace of My Mind, a multimedia storytelling project by artist John Noltner, to capture and honor these stories.
